Sevenoaks Lions Club

We are delighted to announce an official charitable partnership with the Sevenoaks Lions Club. The Sevenoaks Lions Club raises money locally, to support those in need here in Sevenoaks, and is currently made up of 34 men and women of all ages from a variety of backgrounds, but with one single purpose – “to help those less fortunate than ourselves”, specifically targeting three principle groups – the young, the disabled and the elderly. The Club also has a great reputation for supporting local sports and community groups particularly those involved with the disabled and the young.

Although the charity operates primarily in Sevenoaks it is part of the International Organisation of Lions Clubs which has 1.4m members across 46,000 clubs in over 200 countries. Local fund raising activities for the charity include a Heavy Horse Show held in Shoreham in the first week of September, Father Christmas collections at local supermarkets, a golf day, an Easter Egg raffle and much more, including of course the Beer Festival in conjunction with SVCC.

The partnership will see a rebrand and upscale of the Beer Festival as well as a more concerted approach to fundraising throughout the calendar year, by setting up dedicated collection points at The Vine and organising a number of tactical campaigns during the season. So watch this space for some exciting announcements over the coming weeks.

More information on the charity can be found on the Club website
