President’s XI

27 Jun 2014 - Alan Smith

The Old Oaks played their regular June fixture against Lord Robert Sackville’s invitation XI on a beautiful Friday evening on the Vine.

An entertaining match against a very youthful and useful President’s XI saw nearly 300 runs scored, many sizes struck, some quite exceptional (and some quite extraordinary) fielding, as well as some catches actually being held. The Old Oaks finished a few runs short despite a flurry of boundaries towards the end of their innings.
