The 1st XI play their home games on Sevenoaks Vine and are the only club 1^st XI to have played in every Kent Premier League season since its inception in 2002, a statistic the club is rightly very proud of. The 1^st XI also enter the Kent League T20, which is a knockout tournament on weeknights.

In recent years, the 1^st XI have won the Premier League title in 2014 and were runners-up in 2015. In 2014 they also won The Brian Luckhurst Spirit of Cricket Award.

Training is an integral part of preparations for the season, be these indoor at Sevenoaks School from February-April, or outside at Otford on Wednesday nights during the season. Head coach Richard Parsons oversees training sessions and we benefit from a wealth of experience and coaching expertise throughout the club, ensuring players continually develop during their time at the club.

We are proud of our record of producing cricketers at the Vine, having recently helped Steve Smith of Australia, Fabian Cowdrey and Zak Crawley become professional cricketers. It is not however all about those who play the game for a living, we are lucky that we have players at school, University students and working adults amongst our ranks. We have an array of members currently playing school and University cricket across Kent and the wider country. We also actively encourage players to engage with the MCC and are happy to help younger members if this is something they would like to pursue.

We are looking forward to a great season ahead for the Vine, members and visitors are all welcome to come and support, watch the cricket and enjoy the beautiful setting of SVCC.
